Printed in the Meiji-Taisho Period. His studio was called S hin'enkan, meaning'House of the Faraway Heart'; he retired from the family business aged 40 to devote his life to his art. A large woodcut print at the original size.
(a genuine reprint, not an'art print') His original work employed a distinctive stencil technique; later published by an expert Japanese woodblock print atelier in the early 20th century. The print impression is strong and tangible. (VG for it's age).
