This is an illustration of Danjo Niki and Otonosuke Arajishi from the Kabuki play "Kyara Saiyosai Hagi" based on the Date riots that took place in the Date family in Sendai in the early Edo period. The Date riots occurred in the Date family in Sendai in the early Edo period. Together with the Kuroda riots, the Kaga riots, and the Sengoku riots, it is called one of the three major family riots of the Edo period. The drama "Kyara Sodai Hagi" is a Kabuki play inspired by the Date riots and depicts the Onin period.

Niki Danjo is a regent and sorcerer who plans to take over the Ashikaga family, the feudal lord of the 54 counties of Oshu. He attempts to force his lord into hiding and poison the young Tsuruchiyo, but loses a legal battle in the shogunate with the old retainer Watanabe Tonoki, and is himself killed in an attempt to kill Tonoki. Harada Kai of the Date riots is the model. The condition of this item is very rare and precious, as it is old and has survived the World War II.
