These prints depict Genji crossing the Oi River with attendants. We found one of these prints, the right most print, pictured and explained on a museum website.
These prints are signed Japanese colored woodblock prints on paper depicting Prince Genji and two richly dressed women on the banks of the Oi River Prior to crossing. The other two prints depict the group crossing the river. Place of manufacture was Tokyo, Japan. Each of the 3 prints measures 14-1/2" tall x 9-3/4" wide. Under the middle print, on the folder, is the stamp that bears a certification of Original Guarantee and reads the following.Original Guarantee, By Sakai Co. The prints were attached in tiny areas at the top two corners and placed in the pictured original trifold folder. We will respond to your inquiries promptly.
