Please check out this gorgeous and Rare Japanese fine art etching by Listed Artist Shigeki Kuroda, titled " Bicycles in Landscape No 3 " The piece is a pencil signed and numbered. Shigeki Kuroda (1953) is a Japanese artist whom first studied in the US in 1984. Exemplifies his most famous works, often with fast moving bicycles. The actual etching is one his larger pieces and is on Arches paper and measures, 20" High x 28" Wide. The piece is in very good condition, showing some light toning and absolutely no rips or tears.

The matting shows toning and should be replaced with museum quality matting. The silver color Stainless Steel original frame measures 25.25 " High x 32.25" Wide x 1 Deep. And is in good condition, but is missing the glass. Shigeki Kuroda was born in 1953 in Yokohama in the Kanagawa Prefecture.

In 1977 he began studying painting at Tama University of Art in Tokyo and finished with a masters degree in 1979. He became famous by making images of fast moving bicycles. But although his art is figural one does not see one biker. Instead, large umbrellas are seen where you would expect the bicycle rider.
