"Koyo Saruhashi no Zu" or "Monkey Bridge". This is one of the most rare Hiroshige woodblocks. Numerous later versions appeared, of which this is most likely one of them, though this woodblock definitely has age and was not made just 10 years ago, etc...... Most unique and appealing is the vertical-diptych format. This particular woodblock is considered to be one of his most outstanding examples in this format. Note the measurements: 29" X 9-5/8".

The colors are wonderful and the condition is excellent. If you plan to frame it, this woodblock would look perfect next to a cabinet where you might have limited wall space. It is very tall and somewhat narrow. Fits nicely in a unique space in a living room, hallway, etc....
