Vintage TOSHUSAI SHARAKU Japanese Woodblock Print. Actor Otani Tokuji Mica RARE

I have for sale a vintage Japanese color woodblock print. The title of the piece is.

Otani Tokuji as a servant, Sodesuke by Toshusai Sharaku. Otani Tokuji performing as a servant, Sodesuke. In a famous Kabuki play performed in 18th century Edo period, Japan.

This print is unique in that the shiny background color/texture is created using mica power. The print is enclosed in a windowed paper folder for viewing. The right edge of the print is glued to the backing paper.

The front cover of the folder describes the actors and the play in Japanese. Approximate dimensions of the print is: 16" tall, 10.75" wide. This is a beautifully illustrated work of Japanese art.
